The American Heart Association office in Tallahassee has an opening for an Event Specialist/Administrative Assistant. Primarily responsible for logistical and administrative support for five key fundraising events which includes three annual Heart Walks and two annual Heart Balls/Galas. Additional responsibilities will include database management, financial reporting, assisting with creation of promotional materials, obtaining in-kind donations, and interacting with corporate sponsors, executive committee members, and individual donors. H.S. diploma required. BA/BS degree preferred. Must have 1 to 2 years prior senior level administrative and/or event management/logistics experience; fundraising a plus. Must be a self-starter with an eye for detail, and the willingness and ability to work with, motivate, manage and recruit volunteers. Advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
