Job Summary

Provide day-to-day support related to the management of assigned applications. Responsibilities include process analysis, design, configuration, maintenance, documentation, and the debugging/troubleshooting of information system solutions. Collaborates with functional experts and third-party vendors in the creation of complex reports, feed files, and data integrations.

Essential Duties

Write and maintain PL/SQL Programs that meet specific business needs within the Banner System (delivered and custom job submissions, regulatory processing, data integrations, etc…)

Provide advanced day-to-day system administration. Responsible for reporting, access control, and support of designated focus areas.

Maintain advanced working knowledge of Banner Modules. Managing module releases, upgrades, and patches, including researching functionality to ensure existing processes will continue to operate as expected. Conduct testing and communicate changes or enhancements to functional areas.

Maintain security model based on functional responsibilities and internal audit controls for designated focus areas.

Create and maintain technical documents pertaining to systems and processes within designated focus areas.

Assist others within the department with advanced troubleshooting/debugging complex queries/reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Services, Information Technology, or related technical field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.

Five years' experience in related field.

Time management skills with the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.

Practical knowledge of analyzing and verifying data for use in reports.

Analytical, problem-solving and technical skills.

Ability to effectively communicate technical processes to end users.

Ability to work effectively in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and rapid change.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a member of a team.

Ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas, and technologies quickly.

Experience writing/debugging complex PL/SQL.

Sensitivity when handling confidential information in a professional and discreet manner.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced experience in or knowledge of application systems management and support including system changes and system testing.

Knowledge of general data management practices, policies, and procedures or the ability to learn in order to translate business requirements into system configurations.
