General Description:

Responsible for functional support of OU Health HR systems through design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance, security, reporting, and training. Duties also include ensuring data integrity and designing complex reports to create and drive operational efficiencies. This position will achieve success as a strategic partner to internal and external stakeholders by maintaining and enhancing the HR system, driving process efficiencies, troubleshooting system issues, preserving data integrity, complying with security expectations, and providing robust reports that can be utilized at all levels of the organization.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Functional Expert in HRIS System experienced in implementations, configuration, business process optimizations, testing, reporting, and post go live support.
  • Serves as a consultative partner to Human Resources and other business functions by ensuring alignment of HR systems and related business processes.
  • Engages in HRIS initiatives by assisting with business requirements gathering, business process review and configuration, project management, design, testing, training, documentation development, and communication.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert for modules within the Workday suite which may include but are not limited to, Workday HCM, Workday Recruiting, Workday Benefits, and Workday Talent Management.
  • Creates, troubleshoots, and maintains documentation pertaining to HCM security, organizational structures, business processes, tasks, notifications, configurations, integrations, business processes, and security.
  • Reviews and communicates the deployment of Workday releases and upgrades to the organization and its stakeholders.
  • Reviews and audits HR data on a regular basis to ensure integrity in systems, processing, compliance and reporting.
  • Develops and maintains training materials, in collaboration with other HR work streams, to lead training efforts for HRIS technologies.
  • Develops and updates policies and procedures in support of system changes.
  • Partners with vendors to successfully implement and upgrade any HR systems and resolve any system issues.
  • Creates and maintains a variety of reports both within and outside of Workday based on HR metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that meet stakeholder needs to evaluate trends and drive strategic decision making.
  • Design and configuration of HRIS modules such as, but not limited to, Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, and Talent Acquistion.
  • Works closely with HR and external stakeholders to develop training, communications, and adoptions framework.
  • Project Lead for the design of major features from initial requirements through customer acceptance.
  • Responsible for stakeholder engagement and change management as well as designing and implementing long term strategies.
  • Monitors system interfaces, processes, and data to ensure system compliance.
  • Identifies system opportunities and risk through proactive research of current and future HRIS industry trends.
  • Proactively seeks out process improvement opportunities for their business process.

General Responsibilities:

Performs special projects or other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree required. A degree in Computer Science, MIS, Human Resources Management, or other related field is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of four years of HRIS inclusive of Project Management and HR experience required. Experience supporting and/or configuring systems or SaaS applications strongly preferred. ERP implementation experience preferred. Project management experience preferred. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s): Workday Pro certification or ability to obtain certification within 2 years required. Project management certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of HR processes, process flow and data.
  • Strong understanding and experience in HRMS such as Workday, Paycom, PeopleSoft, Lawson, ADP, etc. Strong working knowledge of MS Office Suite; in particular, must demonstrate strong MS Excel Skills (Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other complex formulas and functions).
  • Strong analytical skills with a methodical approach to problem solving and implementation with attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of software testing principles and practices.
  • Ability to apply logic in thinking through downstream impacts for regression testing purposes.
  • Ability to apply logic and reason to investigate system issues to root cause.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills within all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution Ability to work effectively in a fast-past environment and handle daily planned and unplanned operational activities both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to learn and effectively use new technologies.
