The Employee Engagement Manager will be part of the Human Resources team and is responsible for leading engagement strategies in support of our cultural initiatives, reporting to the Director of Organizational Development. Their primary focus will be to partner with operating areas across the organization to advance related strategic initiatives. The role is focused on understanding and addressing the work environment and employee engagement characteristics unique to each of our operations. They will be tasked with leading engagement initiatives around our employee surveys and working with business unit leaders to plan and execute key strategies in their respective areas.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Oversee the results of our new hire and exit surveys to discern areas of strength and opportunities on a macro and micro basis across the organization. Use these results to action plan and strategize with key stakeholders.
  • Serve in lead role of oversight for a periodic employee engagement survey. Process includes all aspects of planning, managing timelines, overseeing survey launch, monitoring all responses, and supporting managers with access to their data and the action planning process post-survey.
  • Support ongoing engagement initiatives of key stakeholders across the organization by supporting the post-survey process and working with teams on long-term engagement improvement initiatives. These initiatives, in many cases, will include collaborating with other members of the Org Development team, HR and other leaders across the organization.
  • Research 'Best Places to Work' type surveys for pursuit of a potential strategy to participate in a select group of surveys to enhance our marketability as an employer.
  • Related special projects as assigned.

Position Requirements

To be considered, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, I/O Psychology, Psychology and 3-5 years experience in a role that is actively focused on employee engagement, culture, or organizational development, or alternatively, employee management experience sufficient to evidence an understanding of and ability to impact these topics.

Additional requirements include:

  • Demonstrated and thorough understanding of employee engagement issues
  • Ability to work with senior operations management, manage expectations, communicate effectively, and hold managers and employees accountable for commitments on initiatives
  • Understanding of culture, especially within the financial services sector
  • Project management skills
  • Creative problem solving skills
  • Exceptional listening skills

Qualifications

Education
Bachelors of Human Resource Administration (preferred)

Experience
3 years: Experience in a role that is actively focused on employee engagement, culture, or organizational development, or alternatively, employee management experience sufficient to evidence an understanding of and ability to impact these topics. (required)
