CNFC is seeking a qualified Facility Project Manager to provide clinical and facilities Project Management Support assistance for the Naval Hospital Twentynine Palms Facilities Management Department. This position provides assistance in project execution, control, coordination, and quality review for short-term and long-term construction, maintenance, and renovation projects. Candidates should be well-rounded, effective communicators able to work independently and meet aggressive deadlines.

  • Pay commensurate with experience.

Facilities Project Manager Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for scope, sourcing and funding for NAVFAC facilities
  • Track and monitor projects through award phase, including status inquiries, phone calls, and other similar efforts to ensure projects proceed expeditiously
  • Act as the primary liaison between construction managers and the customer NHTP for items including approval of submittals pertaining to scheduling, outages and excavation permits, coordination with customer operational requirements, inspection, processing of field changes, attending hospital meetings, modifications, and requests for information (RFI).
  • Communicate with key stakeholders at all levels and ensure a safe and productive working environment, completing projects on time and within budget despite tight deadlines and challenging specifications.
  • Conduct inspections, surveys, and quality control audits.
  • Process field changes, modifications, and requests for information (RFI)
  • Attend and participate in meetings throughout the project's lifecycle
  • Update project status data contained in various tracking systems, both computer based (DMLSS) and paper based.
  • Provide project oversight to ensure contract and code compliance for design, construction, and maintenance standards for hospitals.
  • Review project schedules, logs, reports from contractors and assists in the resolution of design or work coordination problems
  • Plan and reviews facilities engineering requirements in accordance with current guidance and policy
  • Determine work, objectives, requirements, current procedures, timeframes, and coordination requirements, the most feasible and appropriate manner and method of accomplishment and report findings
  • Responsible for the planning, design review, cost estimate validation, scheduling, coordination, and execution of facility construction, maintenance, repair, and equipment installation projects
  • Involved in preparation of project scopes of work and rough cost estimates
  • Provide technical review of construction contractor proposals, including project modifications
  • Review of pertinent hospital specific and industry standard codes and guidelines, and selection of appropriate engineering systems and solutions engineering projects include facility repair, construction, renovation, alteration, and maintenance, and may include a variety of project execution vehicles, including Government Purchase Cards.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Facilities Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture and/or Engineering preferred and/or 10+ years of related professional experience which can be considered a possible substitute a degree.
  • Candidates must be US Citizens
  • Candidates selected will be subject to a U.S. Government federal background security investigation and must favorably pass a drug screen
  • Candidates must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture and/or Engineering preferred and/or 10+ years of related professional experience which can be considered a possible substitute a degree.
  • Experience with managing facility construction and renovation in the private and/or US government sector.
  • Experience reviewing space plans, construction plans, and design intent drawings
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD and MS Project.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment
  • Attend and participate in facility meetings, to include environment of care, space utilization, and facility update meetings.
  • PMP Certification desired
  • Knowledge/experience managing projects within medical facilities and laboratories.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
