What's the role?

As a vital member of our team, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the ZEISS Group's future growth through shaping a best-in-class Global Shared Services organization, providing essential support to Business Segments and Business Units. Your contribution will be essential to support ZEISS' transformation into a data and process driven organization.

Your primary responsibility is to act as the Expert overseeing the implementation of new technical solutions and the enhancement of existing processes within the procurement domain. Collaborating closely with departments across ZEISS's Business Units, you will focus on optimizing the end-to-end procure to pay processes, ensuring scalability, effectiveness, and efficiency.

As the P2P process expert, you represent the North America NPM (Non-Production Material) Procurement hub in global initiatives and facilitate communication between national and global stakeholders. You will collaborate with national site-Procurement teams to drive continuous improvement and standardization initiatives related our procurement processes and systems infrastructure across the North American NPM Procurement organization.

Here's what you'll do:

Process/Systems Analysis and Development:

  • Analyze existing procurement to pay process and systems infrastructure.

  • Develop innovative solutions to improve processes, emphasizing performance enhancement, cost efficiency and business centricity.

  • Spearhead national harmonization initiatives and develop scalability strategies to drive enterprise-wide digitalization.

Cost Reduction and Optimization:

  • Actively identify and pursue opportunities to reduce costs and optimize existing processes, such as through the implementation of online catalogs and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Engage with stakeholders across the company on a national and global scale to discuss processes and improvements, gaining commitment and fostering a collaborative environment.

Network Development:

  • Collaborate and build strong relationships and networks within ZEISS, both regionally and globally, to facilitate organizational change.

Project Management:

  • Lead projects with national and global stakeholders aimed at implementing process improvements, including changes in processes and the introduction of new tools.

Support and Reporting:

  • Support the North American NPM Team and colleagues by providing regular reporting and ad hoc data, utilizing both manual (Excel) and automated methods.

  • Collaborate with Controlling and Data Analytics to enhance enterprise-wide reporting capabilities.

NPM Tools Management:

  • Serve as the GoTo person for Business Units regarding NPM tools, offering support, maintenance, development, and training including documentation.

Governance and Compliance

  • Collaborate with national and global NPM Procurement team to adapt and implement policies and corporate standard operation procedures in North America.

  • Support leadership in P2P related corporate audits and support business services functions in enterprise-wide remediation initiatives.

Do you qualify?

  • Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or a related discipline.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Procurement systems, data analytics, corporate finance.

  • Experience managing complex projects in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.

  • Comprehensive understanding of order-to-pay workflows and its impact on Business, Finance and Procurement operations.

  • Experience with SAP R3/S4 HANA.

  • Comfortable acting as a change agent in a VUCA environment with a focus on the "big picture".

  • Willingness to travel within the US and internationally.

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity with corporate shared services organizations or exposure to global business services.

  • Ability to analyze opportunities for cost and efficiency improvement.

  • Financial skills to assess the total cost of processes.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and intercultural skills.

  • Expertise in data and process analysis.

  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Jaggaer, data warehouses, Power BI and SharePoint.

  • Possess a strong intrinsic motivation to drive positive change and contribute to the organization's success.

Working Conditions and Special Demands:

  • Hybrid work schedule - 3 days in the office/2 days remote.

Compensation:

  • The annual pay range for this position is $110,408 - $138,010

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.

This position is also eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS also offers robust benefits, including medical plans, retirement savings plan and paid time off.
