Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Broken Arrow, OK. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make parts, mechanisms, tools, or devices to exact tolerances and dimensions.
  • Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
  • Determines sequence of operations, number of cuts, and setup method.
  • Uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • Makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
  • Measures, marks, and scribes' sizes and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
  • Fits and assembles precision parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, features, and equipment.
  • Some machines may be numerically controlled.
  • May monitor and verify quality by statistical process or other control procedures.

  • Hours: Daily hours 9/80 (2nd Shift)
  • Length: Temp to Direct (5 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Manual and CNC machining, setting up and operating machine tools, lathes, and milling machines.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in reading/interpreting blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in making standard machine shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • The ability to do all the above with minimal supervision.
  • Sheet metal and fabrication experience.
  • Vocational education.
  • 5S and Lean manufacturing knowledge.
  • Manual machining experience.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • This job operates in a machine shop environment.
  • Expect loud machine noises and general dust in the work area.
  • Must have the ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • Stand for up to 30 minutes while operating a machine.
  • Must be able to work overtime.
