Summary:

Goldbelt, Inc. is in search of a Payroll Clerk in Juneau, AK. Performs tasks to maintain employee records and pay employees. Performs duties in order to support the day-to-day functions of the Payroll Department payrolls for weekly, and bi-weekly, multi-state payrolls. Download standard reports and run custom written reports as required.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

    Monitor and review timesheets.
  • Reviewing new hires in ADP and Costpoint
  • Set up login for new hires in Costpoint Time and Expense.
  • Download and save all post ADP payroll reports
  • Run custom payroll reports in ADP
  • Prepare post payroll reports such as 401K, net checks, union dues as needed.
  • Process 401K funding and reports to 401K plan provider per pay period.
  • Process Child Support, Tax Levies and Wage Garnishments in ADP. Contact agencies when necessary.
  • Assign tickets in Zendesk
  • Respond to tickets in Zendesk regarding employee questions.
  • Investigating and resolve payroll discrepancies.
  • Data entry into payroll spreadsheets, Costpoint and ADP.
  • Assist in annual audits, 401K, Worker's Comp, DOL etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong accounting skills
  • Detail-oriented with error-free work
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Critical thinking skills along with sound judgment and decision-making abilities
  • Ability to resolve problems and set priorities
  • The ability to be flexible/adaptable to a changing and unpredictable workflow

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or 1- 2 years of payroll processing experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Deltek Costpoint and Time & Expense a plus.
  • Service Contract Act & Davis Bacon Act experience a plus.

The salary range for this position is $53,000 to $71,000 per year.
