Overview

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assesses the impact of emerging environmental issues, legislation, and regulations on company operations, and develops and implements appropriate compliance programs.
  • Frequently works with regulatory agencies and environmental contacts both internal and external to Spirit.
  • Coordinates and conveys information on developing legislation and regulatory programs by meeting with representatives of industry, regulatory agencies, government, and the public.
  • Conducts studies and performs analyses and calculations involving appropriate design, selection, installation, and operation of pollution control equipment, waste and chemical process systems, and remediation.
  • Prepares permit applications and completes all monitoring, recordkeeping, and reporting required for the facility. Integrates and assists in the development of company data management systems for environmental programs.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors environmental projects and programs ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and permits along with the mission, vision, and values of Spirit.


Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or other related field or equivalent experience.
