Summary:

The IT Business Analyst - FICO/JVA would support the business during the course of business operations. This position would be responsible for SAP-FICO/JVA support, on-going configuration, system troubleshooting and testing, and maintaining functional documentation. The candidate works closely with Accounting functional groups along with IT in leading the efforts in support of SAP FICO/JVA, new system enhancements, and other IT project initiatives. This position is expected to work with all members of IT and various business stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are critical to success. It is also expected that this individual be able to solve complex functional issues within the SAP landscape.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide operational support of SAP FICO/JVA including troubleshooting, configuration, reporting, data models, and integration with other systems
• Work closely with IT and Accounting teams to diagnose and remediate system risks and issues
• Take ownership in providing integrity of production application environments to minimize unplanned outages and business disruption
• Identify and remediate impact of new capability development to existing system landscape
• Create, update, and maintain application documentation including architecture diagrams, functional designs, configuration settings, data models, integration, test scripts, etc.
• Understand oil and gas accounting business processes and data
• Identify, research, and evaluate available technologies in the marketplace to enhance Accounting performance
• Work closely with Accounting to identify short and long-term opportunities
• Solicit and document requirements and appropriately prioritize to ensure alignment to value drivers
• Ensure requirements traceability across project lifecycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and operational readiness to ensure solutions meet intended business needs and deliver value to the organization
• Provide project management support as necessary
• Work closely with and monitor the activities of external service providers
• Liaise with software suppliers and other third parties, as required, to provide timely and cost- effective customer support
• Evaluate and assist with implementation of improvements to SAP collaboratively with the business
• Build and maintain close and effective working relationships with Accounting and the enterprise organizations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a similar discipline, and four (4+) years of experience in SAP with an emphasis on FICO/JVA; OR eight (8+) years of experience in SAP with an emphasis on FICO/JVA
• Five (5+) years of SAP configuration and functional support

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a similar discipline
• Experience in the oil and gas industry
• Knowledge of month end processes in FICO/JVA
• Experience troubleshooting issues arising during accounting close process, specifically around JVA cutback
• Experience in general FICO/JVA configuration
• Ability to review, analyze, and solve complex functional and technical issues
