YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Refrigeration Maintenance Supervisor-Evenings opportunity at our Guymon processing facility. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the maintenance and facilities team, supervising and providing oversight and direction for a 900,000-square-foot facility, which includes a 300,000-pound ammonia system, 600-million-gallon wastewater treatment facility, rendering, and steam generation operation. Supervises a team of five (5) refrigeration technicians to ensure the facility adheres to all food safety and workplace safety regulations, policies, and standards. This team monitors preventive and corrective maintenance activities to maintain refrigeration systems and utilities throughout the facility.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all systems under the powerhouse and ammonia refrigeration departments.
  • Responsible for reviewing and monitoring utilities with production management and addressing any issues that could adversely impact the facility's operational performance.
  • Ensures that all OSHA and PSM standards are maintained in a timely and accurate manner and that all systems comply with OSHA, ASHRAE, and PSM policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for training and development of personnel, ensuring all employees participate and are certified in Company required training/certifications.
  • Participate in all CAs, PHAs, MI inspections, incident investigations, and monthly PSM information calls. Confirm Annual Visual Inspections are done correctly, P&IDs are updated, and valves are cycled.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: The details listed below are the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities to perform this role. Reasonable accommodation(s) may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or university preferred; Technical School certificate or degree, 5 or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Boiler system experience preferred.
  • Preferred, but not required: Operator 1or 2 certification; RETA certification. Boiler system experience preferred.
  • Meet all HAZMAT requirements, must be able to pass the Pulmonary Function Test
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals in the English language. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.
  • Ability to estimate the labor required to perform maintenance tasks, define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written and/or verbal form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Ability to apply mathematical applications to practical situations.
  • Must be familiar with OSHA and FSIS regulations and work with FSIS to receive, evaluate and report work needed to keep the plant running in accordance with government requirements

SCHEDULE

  • Sunday-Thursday 7:00PM-7:30AM schedule changes quarterly. The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management. After-hours, weekends, and overnight travel as requested.

  • Office and production floor environment based on daily needs.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration.
  • The noise level in the work environment is dependent on which environment you are in but in most cases requires hearing protection.
