Job Description
Job Summary

Produce and deliver financial literacy information, outreach and training materials to students. Serve as a resource for the TCC community.

This is a grant funded position.

Essential Duties

Counsel students, parents and others regarding student financial aid and related resources, including advising on application and eligibility for federal, state, TCC foundation and institutional aid as well as information pertaining to debt management, special circumstances and financial literacy.

Produce financial literacy outreach and training materials, conduct training, and serve as a resource for TCC staff and community partners.

Assess the effectiveness of financial literacy in addressing college debt with OFASVMB leadership.

Provide quality customer service working alongside OFASVMB team members, managing inquiries and student needs in person, on the telephone, email and/or communication mediums.

Coordinate community outreach and in-reach events.

Work with and provide support and input to OFASVMB team. Assist with other duties assigned by the management of OFAVMB.

Participate in various committees, professional trainings, industry conference and conventions.

Build and manage hybrid financial management modules aimed at helping students effectively manage money and design/follow a financial plan.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree business administration or related field. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.

1 year financial literacy experience.

1 year in student services/student affairs.

Ellucian Banner experience.

Ability to drive to different campus locations.

Preferred Qualifications

1 year higher education experience.

Experience in third party financial literacy platforms.

1 year training and support experience.

Certification in financial literacy.
