About the Position and Job Qualifications

The Assistant Branch Manager supports the Branch Manager in overseeing the branch's retail operations and day-to-day functions. This role may involve directly managing all or a portion of the retail staff and their related duties. Responsibilities also include ensuring top-notch customer service, encompassing tasks such as opening new accounts, conducting teller services, offering information to customers, and resolving any banking issues. Additionally, the Assistant Branch Manager is expected to collaborate effectively, maintaining polite and professional communication with both colleagues and customers.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One-plus years of Customer Service experience
  • Two-plus years of Teller experience or a combination of Teller and Personal Banker experience
  • Proficient use of a personal computer and all Microsoft applications with the ability to learn various other job-related software programs
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Availability to work Saturdays and/or extended hours as required to support branch operations

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree
  • Three-plus years of position-related experience or equivalent experience
  • Two-plus years of supervisory experience, including leadership skills, sound decision-making, the ability to motivate others, and positive conflict resolution capabilities

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week which are scheduled at the discretion of the supervisor. This position occasionally requires long hours and weekend work. Hours vary depending on business needs.
