Bachoco USAis seeking a Quality Assurance Supervisor for our Muldrow, OK location.

Work Schedule: M-F 4pm-2am

Summary:Supervises daily quality activities and ensures that all operations are adequately monitored and verified relative to USDA, FSIS, HACCP, SSOP, Customer and Bachoco USA requirements. The manager will handle these responsibilities when the supervisor is out.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for developing, validating, verifying and maintaining food safety plans, prerequisite plans and food quality plans.
  • Assigns production floor quality technicians and maintains daily attendance records and timesheets.
  • Helps train quality technicians and ensures that only adequately trained personnel perform quality function assignments.
  • Ensures all government, customers, and Bachoco USArequirements are met and report significant events in a timely manner to management.
  • Works directly with lab personnel to ensure that samples for analytical testing are appropriately taken and delivered for testing.
  • Assures that the quality tools (forms, thermometers, scales, PH meters chlorine meters, procedures, etc.) are correct and work in the intended manner.
  • Handles the monthly safety, comprehensive training, GMP/SOP training and HACCP/Procedures training.
  • Performs other assignments as required by management.

Supervisory Responsibilities:Directly supervises up to 10 employees in Quality Assurance. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree, Technical School, or High School Diploma with one-year related food plant experience or training or combination of education and experience required
  • Previous experience working in a production environment, poultry preferred
  • Knowledge of USDA, HACCP, GMP, SSOP SQF
  • Prior supervisory experience

Language Skills:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability:Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Manufacturing software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
