BASIC ACCOUNTABILITY
The Geoscience and Reservoir Technologist provides technical support to Geologists, Geophysicists, and Reservoir Engineers in the Delaware Basin Business Unit.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, Meteorology, Education, or a related field demonstrating similar computer, scientific or mathematical skills.

EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES
The ideal candidate demonstrates intense curiosity, solid quantitative skills, close attention to detail, excellent communication ability, and the initiative to focus on and complete projects independently. No previous industry experience required. Training on Devon processes and systems will be provided.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide support to geoscientists during well planning and execution to include assuring that all well metadata is up-to-date, loading surveys, and screening for data errors on active and upcoming developments.

* Provide support to reservoir engineers to conduct reserves analysis and bookings, well and reservoir performance analysis and forecasting, economic evaluations, business performance analysis, statistical analysis, and budgeting.
* Ensure that all data in assigned systems and databases are loaded and updated with the most recent data and conduct quality control cross checks with native sources; identify high value information and share with team.
* Work with geoscientist and reservoir engineer to interface with IT staff to develop data integrations and conduct quality control of same, e.g., collaborate to ensure Harmony-Kingdom integrations are up-to-date.

* Work with geoscientist and reservoir engineer to develop consistent offset competitor activity tracking workflows in appropriate software.
* Create publication quality geological and geophysical maps, cross sections, and various other displays and reports under minimal supervision.
* Create and maintain custom Spotfire views for team.

* Interest in oil and gas and understanding of its contribution to American and human prosperity

* Advanced computer capabilities, i.e., ability to learn softwares such as ArcGIS, Kingdom, Mosaic, Harmony, Spotfire, Access, Excel, Power BI, etc.
