Our Cedar Rapids Location is looking for a Global Project Engineer for crusher chambers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist MP Product Mangers in development of appropriate design specifications for new products and modifications to existing products.

  • Drive engineering solutions for all chamber related NPD, and appropriate technical guidance to the wider MP group on crushing chambers.

  • Support Quality Council process, and guide root cause analysis of component failures.

  • Support the department in providing guidance to brand warranty teams on claims approval where necessary.

  • Manages patent applications.

  • Support the department in design / technology concept development and selection.

  • Drive implementation of new technology into current and new products to gain a competitive advantage.

  • Assist in identifying and implementing cost effective design and technology alternatives to resolve field issues, ensuring appropriate maintenance and ongoing improvements to current product range.

  • Mentor, coach and develop engineering talent.

  • Manage group projects as assigned.

  • Provide training to Chamber team on Engineering principles.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering

  • 6+ years design experience and knowledge of jaw, cones, and impact rock crushers.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Able to travel 15%-20% of the time both within the US and overseas.

  • Familiarity with application of FEA (preferably Creo Simulate) and PDM

  • Ability to demonstrate effective leadership in both strategic and tactical decision making.

  • A proven and considerable track record in the design, development and successful launch to market of heavy machinery.

  • Proven leadership and personnel management skills.

  • Creativity and innovative thinking.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Innovative mentality.

  • Strong commercial awareness.

The salary range for this position is $96,800 - 110,000 USD Annual. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.
