Under the direction of the SR VP, HR, the Compensation Specialist (CS) will support the development, implementation, and management of the compensation programs within the organization. The CS will support the organizations compensation efforts by gathering and analyzing data, assisting with compensation surveys, and maintaining accuracy within various systems and platforms supporting the organization's compensation/HRIS program. This role requires a understanding of compensation principles, excellent analytical skills, and regulatory compliance to effectively manage salary structures, incentive programs, and pay equity initiatives. In addition, this position will have administrative support of data analytics and position control. Must be extremely proficient in excel functions ie., VLookup, pivot tables, chart creation and complex formulas.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Data Collection and Analysis:

Assist in gathering, compiling, and validating compensation data from multiple
sources, including HRIS (Human Resources Information System), market surveys, and
internal databases.

Perform data analysis, including comparing salary data against market benchmarks,
analyzing pay trends, and identifying outliers or discrepancies for further
investigation.

Assist in monthly completion of HR data analytics ie. turnover, vacancy, etc

Utilize pivot tables to summarize and analyze large datasets related to employee
compensation, market surveys, and salary benchmarking.

Apply VLOOKUP function to merge and reconcile data from multiple sources, ensuring
accuracy and completeness in compensation calculations and reports.Must be
extremely proficient in excel functions ie., VLookup, pivot tables, chart creation and
complex formulas.

2. Administration Support:

Creation and maintenance of job codes/grades in HRIS system and range spreadsheet

Calculate repayment of sign on bonus payments during offboarding process
Maintain hires and terms of bonus spreadsheet
Assist in approval of salary and coding of employment offers.
Assist in recruiting requisition approval and req creation.
Assist in the development and maintenance of job description coding, salary
structures, and compensation guidelines, following established procedures and
guidelines.
Maintain competencies in HRIS system for new and existing jobs.
Serve as a backup in recruitment in completing backgrounds and references.
Code titles in Job Architect (job description software)
Oversee Volunteer and Independent Contractors files and requirements
Complete annual background requirements for CAP, School Based, HomeStudy etc.
Oversee position control, regarding requisition management
Send weekly job sponsorship to social media coordinator
Research HRIS community forum for best practices

3. Compliance and Audit Support:
Assist in conducting audits and reviews of compensation data to ensure accuracy,
integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry
standards.
Participate in compliance efforts related to Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
regulations, pay equity analysis, and other compensation-related audits or
investigations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field required.

EXPERIENCE:

1-2 years of experience in HR, compensation, or data analysis role preferred. Must be extremely
proficient in excel functions ie., VLookup, pivot tables, chart creation and complex formulas.
